Firenze - Da Due Parte

Our second trip to Florence was much warmer than the first! It was awesome. Marco took us to the Uffizi Gallery which is filled with so many paintings and sculptures! Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures. I know, sad day.  After the Uffizi, Berta and I wandered over to the Ponte Vecchio and found some lunch by the river.  After finishing our delicious pizza, we crossed the Ponte Vecchio and gazed at all the amazing jewelry in the shops.

From there we ventured to find the paper shop that our classmates had discovered on our last trip. We found it on the corner of one of the buildings. It was really cool.  From there we walked to Piazza Michelangelo which sits up on top of a hill overlooking Florence. It was a long walk up lots of steps but we made it!

For the rest of the day we walked around Florence with our eventual destination being the train station. On the way we walked back to a small leather and paper store which we had found on our last trip and I bought my awesome new sketchbook. I am using it now as a journal for Marco's class which we are required to turn in at the end of the semester. I like it a lot.
